Tim Elwood
Company Director at Auto Connect
Tim is a founder company director with a true passion for motor vehicles of all shapes and sizes. Tim’s first experience in full control of a vehicle was at the age of 6. He went on to compete professionally in both motorcycle road and motorcycle circuit racing across the world. He retired as a professional racer at the age of 23 to begin his family life.
Tim has worked in a number of roles within the automotive industry and had his pick of jobs to choose from. Tim worked full-time in a number of well known companies based in Northern Ireland between the age of 23 to 26 and learnt a great deal.
Tim has an entrepreneurial mind set with big ideas for what Auto Connect will achieve over the coming years.

Most Frequent Questions & Answers
We recommend an interim service every 6,000 miles or half year (whichever is sooner) and a full service every 12,000 miles or full year (whichever is sooner). This maximises vehicle economy and vehicle longevity. With regular servicing it is more likely that issues can be identified and resolved before they develop into major problems which are often dangerous and costly.
Interim Services start from £65 & Full Services start from £90.
If asked by Auto Connect for your tyre size please provide the Tyre Width & Rim Size.
Some vehicles have different sized tyres on the front compared with the rear however, the two front tyres should always be the same size and the two rear tyres should always be the same size.
It is important that when you get new tyres fitted or punctures repaired that the wheels are balanced. Small weights are applied to the inside of alloys or inside/outside of steel wheels to balance them. If your wheels are not balanced this can result in shuddering/shaking which you will feel in the steering wheel. This can be quite disconcerting so you are advised to get this checked immediately.
There are a few obvious tell-tale signs that your vehicle needs an alignment for example, while on a flat road when you hold your steering wheel straight your vehicle pulls left or right, to get the vehicle to go straight you need to offset the steering wheel or when you look at your tyres either the inside or outside appears to be very worn compared to the rest of the tyre.
